What do we value? There are frequently things in life that we consider precious and valuable only to realize later that they were trivial. Todd Bernard reminds us that the word of God can help us to reorient our thinking that we might align our standards of value to the Lord’s.

Laughter is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. In fact, laughter is also a fascinating Biblical theme. In this sermon from evangelist Billy Dickinson were are reminded of the ancient wisdom of Solomon: there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh” (Ecclesiastes 3:4). Laughter MP3 Link
Balaam was a diviner hired by the Moabites to curse Israel. However, God intervened causing Balaam to do the opposite of what he sought to accomplish – he blessed Israel. As Balaam inadvertently spoke on behalf of the Lord, he prayed these words:
“Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my end be like his!” (Numbers 23:10).
The problem with this prayer, as explained by evangelist Smith Bibens, was that while Balaam desired to die like the righteous he did not seek to live like them. Thus, Balaam’s prayer was vain and useless.
